Nonlinear Cyclic Analysis of Reinforced Concrete Columns Using Fiber Section Approach

Abstract This study investigates nonlinear modeling and verification of a reinforced concrete element using the fiber section method. At first, theory related to approach hysteresis models used for cyclic analysis is given. Then, column tested previously in literature modeled simulation results are compared with test results. An acceptable approximation made utilizing only few input parameters: Uniaxial stress-strain curves materials, location length plastic hinge, geometry model. Moreover, axial force-moments interaction curve from Eurocode one obtained It shown that by conducting larger capacity considered which more realistic economic design.
